Add click points to component

Description

Click points are the docking points of the individual components. Components from scaffolding manufacturers already have many click points to connect the individual components to each other at specific points during manual scaffolding.

Own components can also be provided with click points. Click points from the systems of the scaffolding manufacturers as well as your own click points can be used. This means that your own components can be docked to each other during manual set-up, but also to the components of the scaffolding manufacturer.

Prerequisites

• An own product must have been created.

Steps

1. Click on Advanced features in the scaffmax command bar.
    The scaffmax functions dialog is displayed.
2. Double-click the line Part.
    The Component/Assembly Creating your own components and assemblies dialog is displayed.
3. Click the ↑ Load Component/group icon.
    The drawing with the component is loaded, existing click points are displayed.
4. Click the click points tab.
    A list of click points from the systems of the scaffolding manufacturers is displayed.
   
   
5. If necessary, activate the Find click points function in the icon bar to determine the values of existing click points.
    For more information about the function, see Show click points.
6. Select a click point in the list.
    The line is highlighted in yellow.
    The list can be expanded with your own click points.
7. Left-click on the component where the click point is to be placed.
    A pen appears at the cursor.
   
8. Move the pen parallel to one of the three axes.
    The line is colored in the color of the axis and the mouse "snaps" accordingly.
   
9. Left-click.
    The click point is placed on the component.
    Click points with positive values are green, with negative values red.
   
10. Repeat steps 6-9 to add more click points.

Result

You have added one or more click points to an own component.
